Adult dance classes FAQs

See our full list of FAQs here.
I've never danced before. Can I still join?

Absolutely. Many of our students start as complete beginners, at every age. Book a free trial and come see for yourself — no experience needed.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes you can move in, and cotton socks. For ballet, ballet attire (tights, leotard, slippers) is welcome if you have it. Youth ballet students (Pre-Ballet to Young Ballet 3) can buy their uniform from our partner, Ballettshop Opéra.

What is SportsNow?

It's our digital studio platform — the easiest way to book and cancel classes, manage bookings, and track your class pass. Download it for iOS or Android.

What happens if I miss a class?

If you cancel your booking within the specified time limit, the credit will automatically be refunded to your account. You can use it for another class, provided your subscription is still valid.

‍

Do you run classes during school holidays?

We generally follow the Luzern school holidays, so most regular classes pause. Some classes continue — always check the latest schedule in the app.

Where can I get dance clothes and pointe shoes?

Through our partner, Ballettshop Opéra, Youth Program dancers can enjoy a 15% discount on balletwear.

You can have your first pair of pointe shoes fitted with the help of your teacher. This ensures that they fit properly and securely.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay for adult courses using TWINT or a credit card. Additional charges may apply for credit card payments.
Fees for Youth Program courses are paid via e-banking and can be settled in 1, 2 or 4 instalments.

Can I get money back through my insurance?

Likely yes — through our TVS membership, many students claim up to CHF 600 per year. Once payment is received, you can download your insurance confirmation directly from your SportsNow account. Step-by-step here.

Can I apply a discount after paying?

No — discounts must be applied before payment and can't be added later.
