Youth program

For children and teens from age 3 onwards.

From a toddler's very first plié to a teenager preparing for a professional career — our youth program grows with your child. Every class is built to develop strong technique, genuine artistry, and a love of moving.
What sets us apart: a healthy, safe, and non-judgmental environment, with teachers who care about your child's progress towards their goals.

How registration works for the Youth program

Signing up your child is easy
1. Find a class
that fits your child's age and interests (see below, or browse the full schedule).
2. Book a free trial lesson
through our online trial form so we can confirm the right level and check availability.
3. Register
for the semester using our registration form once you've found the right fit.
Heads up: Youth classes are booked through our registration form, not directly in the SportsNow app — this lets us place every child in the right level. (Adults, you book differently — see the adult page.)

Youth Program FAQs

See our full list of FAQs here.
What should my child wear to their dance class?

Students coming to a trial lesson should wear comfortable clothing they can move well in and cotton socks. For ballet classes, ballet attire (tights, leotard, and ballet slippers) is also welcome if they already have it.

Students in Pre-Ballet 1 through Young Ballet 3 can purchase their class uniform from our partner store, Ballettshop Opéra.

Students in other classes may wear clothing that makes them feel comfortable and happy to move in.

How much do youth classes cost?

Classes are priced by year, based on class length. See our pricing page for full details and discounts.

Can parents watch?

Most classes are closed to keep dancers focused, but parents are welcome at special observation days and performances.

Does my child need to be potty trained for Kindertanz?

Yes. A parent or guardian should stay in the studio during class in case of bathroom breaks.

What if we need to withdraw?

Youth registration runs for the school year, with automatic enrollment into semester two unless we receive written cancellation at least two weeks before it begins. Withdrawal is possible at the end of a semester.

Where can I get dance clothes and pointe shoes?

Through our partner, Ballettshop Opéra, Youth Program dancers can enjoy a 15% discount on balletwear.

You can have your first pair of pointe shoes fitted with the help of your teacher. This ensures that they fit properly and securely.
